
They tend to be mysterious, keeping their true nature a secret, and for the most part, they are solitary, preferring to travel alone than with groups of their own kind.

Still, that doesn't stop them from forming powerful (if not short-lived) bonds with creatures of goodness and purity. At times, they take on forms reminiscent of the good Fey, whom they are often confused for.īorn from joy and beauty that is Elysium, like most other outsiders, Azata cannot procreate with one another or other mortal beings. Some resemble animals or elements, while others take on appearances so strange it's impossible to truly describe them. Many consider Azata to be elven in appearance, and though they do share some similarities to elves, they also have more primal and mystical features. They tend to arrive where they are needed, disappearing afterwards as quickly as they came.

It is the Azata's belief that evil itself can never be eradicated, but they still lend their aid to put back in its place. They travel the planes searching for those in need, lending their aid to causes that fight evil. Pathfinder's Azata are Celestial beings native to Elysium that stand for freedom and righteousness.
